Getting the Gist of Twitter

Well, it’s happening.

Now we’re discussing how to twitter effectively, and sift through the chatter to find meaningful human interaction.

This morning, thanks to the notes from fellow twitterers- – I wasn’t fast enough to register for the o’reilly webcast – but I did get to eavesdrop through the presentation called #twitterbook

Search for that on twitter, and you’ll be able to get the gist.

And that, my friends, is what twitter is all about. It’s about gist. The meat of the matter. What is holding our COLLECTIVE attention in this crazy world where so much information is flung at us from every which way and angle.

What is useful when it comes to writers twittering? Face it. 140 characters or less causes you to focus the power of your statement. You can truncate your words all you like, but seriously. You want impact, say it in 10 words or less.

Get some great twitter hints by searching #twitterbook
